ARGENTINA HEADING TO MALAGA AFTER VICTORY OVER FINLAND
Argentina produced a magnificent performance to defeat Finland 3-0 on the penultimate day of the 2024 Davis Cup Finals Group Stage. The result sealed their place at the Final 8 Knockout Stage in Malaga in November, five years on from their last Davis Cup quarterfinal appearance in 2019. Elsewhere, Brazil overcame Belgium in Bologna, USA topped Group C with a win against Germany, and France ended the week on a high by defeating Czechia.
Italy and Netherlands, the two highest ranked teams in Group A will meet today to end an eventful Davis Cup Finals Group Stage in Bologna. And, the Group D story reaches a thrilling conclusion at Manchester’s AO arena, with Great Britain set to be cheered on by a huge crowd as they take on 2022 Davis Cup champions Canada.
