UK singer-songwriter Georgie Benz has unveiled her new single “Curious,” which is now streaming everywhere.

The track will be featured on her upcoming debut EP, following recent releases “Face to Face” and “Smokers Lungs.”
Originally from London, Benz pursued her love for songwriting and performing after being accepted into Boston’s prestigious Berklee College of Music. Currently based in Los Angeles, she has plans for a series of gigs across Southern California throughout 2024.
Georgie says, “Curious” is a song I wrote back in April while I was living in my college apartment in Boston. It was inspired by a personal experience where I imagined this person wanting to know me on a deeper level, asking more meaningful questions, and sharing the same desire for connection that I had. But then, realizing they were never as curious or as interested as I willed them to be.
The song delves into the complex emotions of unreciprocated feelings—disappointment, longing, and frustration. It’s a hard realization to come to terms with the true nature of a relationship and the imbalance within it. In the end, they remain both a “villain and a saviour,” someone I will always both resent and love.”
Georgie Benz’s music seamlessly weaves together indie pop, rock, and acoustic elements, drawing inspiration from artists like Phoebe Bridgers, Sam Fender, Lizzy McAlpine, MUNA, and Flyte.
