The International Tennis Federation has announced the draws for the 2024 round-robin group phase of the NEC Wheelchair Singles Masters and UNIQLO Wheelchair Doubles Masters, made today at Province House in Arnhem, Netherlands, ahead of next week’s tournament at Arnhem’s Sportpark Molenbeke from 11 – 17 November.

The UNIQLO Wheelchair Doubles Masters finals for men, women, and quad events will be held on Saturday, 16 November, with the NEC Wheelchair Singles Masters finals in all divisions contested on Sunday, 17 November.

Top players from the Paris 2024 Paralympic Games, including medallists Tokito Oda, Alfie Hewett, Yui Kamiji and Niels Vink, will all compete for the NEC Wheelchair Singles Masters title.

Top seed and Paralympic women’s singles and doubles champion Kamiji, aims for another major title, but the 2023 Singles Masters champion will face tough competition from local heroes and fellow former Masters champions Aniek van Koot and Jiske Griffioen, as well as Paralympic medallist, Ziying Wang from China. P.R.

Kamiji has been drawn in the same round-robin pool as Wang, while Griffioen and Van Koot – who are also doubles partners – are drawn together in Group B for the women’s singles.

Sam Schroder, the 2022 champion, is top seed for the quad singles, with two-time champion Niels Vink seeded third. They face tough competition from Israel’s Paris 2024 bronze medallist Guy Sasson.

As top seed, Schroder is drawn in Group A for the quad singles, alongside former Masters finalist Andy Lapthorne. Sasson and Vink feature in round-robin Group B with 11-time NEC Wheelchair Singles Masters quad champion David Wagner, who has replaced Australia’s world No. 8 Heath Davidson in the quad singles draw.

In the men’s singles, Oda and Alfie Hewett, both Masters champions, will be joined by former winners Joachim Gerard and Stephane Houdet, along with other strong contenders and Paris 2024 medallists, Argentina’s Gustavo Fernandez and Spain’s Martin de la Puente.

Paris 2024 gold medallist Oda is drawn in Group A for the men’s singles alongside Paris Paralympic bronze medallist Fernandez, with Hewett in Group B alongside Gerard.

At the end of the round-robin phase of the competition, the top two players in each group will advance to their respective knockout semi-finals in the men’s, women’s and quad singles.

First held in 1994, the NEC Wheelchair Singles Masters is the ITF’s year-end championship featuring the world’s top eight men’s, women’s, and quad singles players. The UNIQLO Wheelchair Doubles Masters, first staged in 2000, serves as the ITF’s flagship doubles event, showcasing eight top men’s doubles teams, six women’s doubles teams, and four quad doubles partnerships.

NEC has been the title sponsor of the NEC Wheelchair Singles Masters since its inception in 1994, with 2024 marking the 30-year anniversary of the prestigious event first being held in Eindhoven.

With thanks to the KNLTB (Dutch Tennis Federation) for their ongoing support of the ITF and wheelchair tennis, Arnhem will become the fifth Dutch city to host the NEC Wheelchair Singles Masters and the fourth to host the UNIQLO Wheelchair Doubles Masters. This marks the Netherlands’ second time hosting both events simultaneously, following Oss in 2022.

The Centre Court will have a full broadcast production for the duration of the event, with live streaming and live scores both available to fans. Live scoring from Monday, 11 November will be available here.
